Abstract :
Monodisperse Ag/Anatase TiO2 core–shell nanoparticles were synthesized by a simple solvothermal method. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements confirm that the as-synthesized nanoparticles have the core–shell structure and TiO2 shell is anatase phase. Interestingly, the photocatalytic ability of the as-synthesized nanoparticles for degrading alizarin red (AR) is greatly increased compared with that of Dessuga P25.
