Abstract :
Hydrogen absorption has been studied in two compounds of the series TiCr1.78−xMnx at high temperature and low H contents nH (nH = H/Me < 0.035). From the Sieverts law, which has been found to hold, the partial standard molar enthalpy and entropy have been derived. It has been found that substitution of Mn for Cr leads to a decrease in the atomic volume and in parallel to an increase in the partial molar enthalpy of the H solution.
