Abstract :
By using glass filament, four multi-layer fabrics were woven with constructions of orthogonal structure by layer to layer binding, orthogonal structure through the thickness binding, angle interlock and modified angle interlock. Tensile behavior of the preforms and the fabricated composites were measured. It is revealed that the fabric structure had a strong effect on the tensile strength and the dimensional stability of the composites.
