Abstract
The strength of adhesively bonded cylindrical components is affected by various factors, which are diametrical clearance, type of assembly, type of material, operating temperature, loading type, surface roughness, etc. In this study, five different diametrical clearance and two different interference fit were experimentally investigated and the results were presented. As the bonding clearance increases, significant decreases have been observed in the static and dynamic strength values. When interference fit and adhesive bonding are both applied to the specimens, its strength is about five times higher than only interference fit.
