Abstract :
Isolator-free 10 Gbit/s singlemode fibre data transmission using an uncooled 1.12 (mu)m GaInAs/GaAs QW VCSEL with optical feedback is demonstrated for the first time. The relative intensity noise is below 130 dB/Hz even with an optical feedback of -22 dB.
