Abstract :
A silicon receiver optoelectronic integrated circuit (OEIC) in 0.6 (mu)m BiCMOS technology is presented. The OEIC achieves with a 300 (mu)m-diameter pin photodiode a sensitivity of -20.1 dBm at a data rate of 2.5 Gbit/s and at a pseudorandom bit sequence of 2/sup 31/-1 with a bit error rate of 10/sup -9/.
