Abstract :
A design of an ultra-compact in-plane optical add/drop filter is proposed. The filter is formed by two waveguides and one two-mode cavity in a twodimensional triangular photonic crystal. The simulated results demonstrate good transfer characteristics with a quality factor of about 1700.
