Abstract :
Experiments were performed to investigate the radial heat transfer behaviors of impinging submerged circular jets. Local heat transfer rate at several fixed radial locations and different nozzle-to-plate spacings were correlated and compared. Results reveal that with the jet being far from the stagnation point, the coefficient in the correlation Nu ∼ Re decreases while the exponent characterizing the flow pattern of the working liquid increases.
