Abstract :
Three new triterpene dimers (1–3) based on two pristimerin units were isolated from Maytenus blepharodes and Maytenus magellanica. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral analysis, including homonuclear and heteronuclear correlation NMR experiments (COSY, ROESY, HSQC and HMBC). Their absolute configurations were determined by CD studies. The compounds were assayed for antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities.
