Synthesis and nucleophilic opening of a new C2 symmetric bis-aziridine. First synthesis of aziridines using polymer-supported triphenylphosphine

The synthesis of (2S,2′S)-2,3-bis(aziridin-2-yl)quinoxaline from d-mannitol is reported. Reductive aminocyclization of diazidodiols has been achieved by polymer-supported PPh3 in a suitable manner. The N-Boc and N-Tos aziridines and have been reacted with different nucleophiles either in protic or aprotic media.
