Ti(OiPr)4-Mediated nucleophilic substitution of propargylic esters

The direct and catalytic displacement reactions of propargylic esters are reported. The reaction is based on the Ti(OR)4/α-hydroxy acid mediated ligand exchange. This methodology enables the inclusion of a broad range of acetylenes and aldehydes into this substitution reaction.
