Abstract :
Functionalized furanose-fused piperidines and oxazepines , useful precursors for structurally unique bioactive nucleosides as well as for potential glycosidase inhibitors, have been synthesized by the application of 1,3-dipolar azide cycloaddition (DAC) reaction on d-glucose based substrates. The strategy works well even with the nucleoside analogue , affording the bicyclic nucleoside analogues and .
