Abstract :
The potent neurotoxin (−)-pumiliotoxin C has been prepared in 8 steps starting from 2-cyclohexenone. Key steps are a tandem asymmetric conjugate addition–allylic substitution reaction and a tandem Heck-allylic substitution reaction.
