Abstract :
(2-Amino-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrinato)nickel(II) reacts with 1,4-benzoquinone, 1,4-naphthoquinone and 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone, in the presence of a catalytic amount of sulfuric acid, to afford new porphyrin–quinone dyads and π-extended heterocyclic-fused porphyrin derivatives.
