SOLUTION OF CONTACT PROBLEMS FOR CYLINDRICAL SHELL STRUCTURES WITH ALLOWANCE FOR TANGENTIAL STRESSES

An approach to the solution of the problems of contact interaction between cylindrical shell structures and elastic/rigid foundations of arbitrary shape is proposed. The approach is based on the method of contact elements and makes it possible to take the tangential (circumferential) stresses arising near the contact zone into account.
