Abstract :
A technique for numerical simulation of the vibrations of tubular spirals conveying a nonuniform boiling liquid is proposed. The excitation of the spiral coil vibration by internal moving fluid clusters separated by cavities, is analyzed. It is shown that stable/unstable flow regimes set in depending on the character of the nonuniformity and the cluster velocity. The developed approach can be used for analyzing the dynamics of water-tube heat-exchanger coils.
