Abstract :
Copper(I) iodide catalyzed three-component reactions of 2-alkynyl benzaldehyde, amine, and diethyl phosphite provide a facile and efficient route to 2,3-disubstituted-1,2-dihydroisoquinolin-1-ylphosphonate. Palladium(II) chloride gives the similar results. An isoquinolinium intermediate may be involved in the reaction process.
