Abstract :
Pyridinium chlorochromate (PCC) supported on silica gel effects the oxidative cyclization of structurally diverse thiophenolic and phenolic Schiffʹs bases, thereby providing an efficient and convenient method for the synthesis of a library of 2-arylbenzothiazoles and 2-arylbenzoxazoles.
