Abstract :
Wear criteria and regularities, significantly different on the macro- and microstructural wear (loading) levels and related to a sharp change in the stressed state rigidity and the depth of material layers participating In the contact zone deformation as well as the resulting change in the emerging dissipative structures, are revealed by analyzing some experimental data on the wear resistance and longevity of tribojoints under the conditions of rolling-sliding as well as by carrying out systematization and generalization on the basis of structure-energy concepts.
