Abstract :
The mechanism determining the formation of the functional surface of an abrasive tool is analyzed. The roost important characteristics of the toolʹs functional surface are determined. Mathematical models of the grain vertices distribution across the surface layer of the tool and the number of active abrasive particles are presented. An approach to the prediction of the surface roughness parameters is discussed.
