Abstract
Parallel diversity-oriented synthesis of diverse 1-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-1,2-dihydroisoquinolines via AgOTf-catalyzed three-component reaction of 2-alkynylbenzaldehyde, amine, and imidazole is described. This reaction works efficiently under mild conditions to generate a small library of imidazole-incorporated 1,2-dihydroisoquinolines.
