Abstract :
A copper-catalyzed method for the trifluoromethylation of arylsulfinates with Togniʹs reagent has been developed, affording aryltrifluoromethylsulfones in moderate to good yields. A wide range of functional groups in arylsulfinates are compatible with the reaction conditions.
