Abstract
The synthesis of three novel alkane disulfides with headgroups derived from vitamin B12, 14a, 14b and 15, is described. Selfassembled monolayers on gold are prepared from the symmetrical disulfide 15, bearing two cobyrinate head groups. The coating of the gold surface is analyzed by TOF-SIMS and ESCA measurements.
