Abstract
Ru-SYNPHOS(registration) and Ru-DIFLUORPHOS(registration) catalysts were efficiently used for the synthesis of a wide variety of chiral (beta)-hydroxy amides via asymmetric hydrogenation of the corresponding (beta)-keto amides.
