Colorimetric staining of ultrafiltration membranes fouled with BSA Original Research Article

Dye tests designed for detecting proteins in solution were developed for detecting proteins on membranes. Four dye tests were used (Amido black, Coomassie blue, Biuret test and Ninhydrin) for which Amido black was the most efficient dye in identifying proteins on the membranes with the least amount of back ground staining.
