Abstract :
The synthesis of the 1-phenyl-2-azabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane derivative 2, a potential NK1 receptor ligand, is reported. Ringclosing metathesis of diene 10 and regio- and stereoselective opening of the oxirane ring in 14 are key steps in the synthetic sequence.
