Abstract :
The asymmetric conjugate addition of O-henzylhydroxylamine to (alpha),(beta)-unsaturaled 3-acyloxazolidin-2-ones was smoothly catalyzed by the Sc(OTf)3/2,6-bis[(S)-4isopropyloxazolin-2-yl]pyridine(i-Pr-pybox) complex in the presence of MS 4 (angstrom) to give the corresponding (beta)amino acids in good conversions with high cnantioselectivilies (up to 91 % ee).
