Reduce costs for storage and distribution of desalted water — use duplex stainless steel Original Research Article

The paper suggests that duplex stainless steels should be used for water storage tanks and distribution pipes. Duplex stainless steels are described in terms of chemical composition, corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. The possibilities to reduce costs for such items are illustrated by case stories from other industries than desalination.
