Abstract :
The efficiency of thermal and vibratory treatment ofwlded parts is analyzed. A reduction in the level of residual stresses is controlled by a nondestructive ultrasonic method. The study has shown that the efficiency of vibratory treatment is, as a rule, no worse than that of thermal treatment. The former is more efficient for units and parts in which one dimension is much smaller than the other two.
