THE EFFICIENCY OF USING PRELIMINARY INFORMATION IN PREDICTING MACHINERY RELIABILITY

A method for calculating the amount of information obtained as a result of previous theoretical and experimental research and used in forming a prediction is considered. The determination of the volume of research needed to construct the prediction model makes it possible to estimate the contribution of the available knowledge about the object in evaluating its reliability.
