ROLLER BEARING CORRECTION

A method for calculating the shape of the roll surfaces of roller bearings and races, which ensures a uniform pressure distribution along the contact line and enhances the supportʹs load-carrying capacity, is presented. The edge effect and the effect of the load-bearing parts misalignment are taken into account. Auxiliary tables and a computational example are presented. The method can be used for improving the characteristics of spur gearings, followers, and wheel-rail pairs.
