Abstract :
Regarding the strengthening of spiritual intelligence can improve studentsʹ mental health, this study intended to compare the spiritual intelligence of athlete and non-athlete students. This cross-sectional study involved 240 university students who were randomly selected. The Spiritual Intelligence Self-Report Inventory Questionnaire (SISRI-24) was used for data collection. Statistical analysis was performed using descriptive statistics (frequency, mean and standard deviation) as well as the Pearsonʹs correlation coefficient in SPSS. 17. The results showed that Means of spiritual intelligence in equal male student (101.15±11.46) and female students (97.78±14.67). This difference is not significant (P=0.06). Average spiritual intelligence were in athletes (105.44±12.53) and in the non-athletes (98.58±13.38) that this difference is significant (P=0.048). This study shows that spiritual intelligence in students who exercise regularly is better than non-athlete students.
