The Difference in Translation Quality of Undergraduate Translation Students and Experienced Translators in Narrative Text

This research was conducted to find the difference in translation quality of undergraduate translation students and experienced translators in narrative texts. To reach this goal, 15 BA senior students of Payam Noor University and 15 experienced translators from three different translation institutions were selected. All of the participants were female and were averaged in age at 26.5 years. The Participants mother tongue was in Persian and they translate texts from English to Persian. Two stories were submitted to them. Its data analysis manifested that experienced translators performed better than undergraduate students.
