Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to The Role of Sport in Leisure Time of Students in university of Tehran Dormitories. The method of the research was descriptive study. Population the research includes of all students whom habitant in campus university of Tehran which the population of them was near 7439 people. We chose only 370 students from all of them for sample research according to Morgan research table. We create and design questionnaire about ideas of sport for all. The questionnaire validity accepted by 10 professional sport management. Reliability of the questionnaire by SPSS statistical was the result of Cronbach,s alpha which was 0.82. Program the information have been analyzed and used from descriptive study for analyzed data. The results showed that 2.3% of the students do not have free time, 6.9% of them have less than one hour and 21.1% have 1-2 hours during 24 hours. 3.5% of the students are free in the morning, %6.1 at lunchtimes and 14.3% at the afternoon, 27.4% in the evening and 48.7% at night. 73.1% of the students take part in the sports activities and 26.9% of the have do no sports. The students are interested in order in bodybuilding 22%, footsal 18.5% and swimming 16.8%. The dormitories lacked in special trainees 57.7%, leisure sport camps 54.9%, mountain climbing programs 45.4%. Being busy 30.6% and the priority of the other issues 12.7%, laziness and lack of ineptest 9.8% were the mains reasons of lack of participation in sports. 53.2% of the students were at average and 32.7% were satisfied with the sports facilities of the dormitories. 5.2% of the students used to do sports to a great extent, 49.7% a lot and 45.1% did not do much sports.
