To Study the Relationship between Psychological Hardiness and Creativity with Student’s Self-esteem

Personality characteristics can be considered as the most basic psychological concept. As it is the main discussion in personality domain, in areas such as perception, thinking, creativity and self-esteem. Based on this, the present study has been performed to examine the relationship between psychological hardiness, self-esteem and creativity among PNU students. The present study has been conducted using coordination method with a community included all the PNU undergraduates of Kangavar university in the academic year of 91-92. The sample included 380 persons was selected using random cluster method and data were collected using psychological hardiness questionnaire made by Kyamarsi et al (1998), to measure self-esteem the Cooper-Smith self-esteem scale included 58 questions was used and to measure the creativity the Abedi (1993), 60 questions questionnaire was used. The results have been analyzed using regression and coordination tests. Results showed that there is a significant relationship between psychological hardiness and creativity with self-esteem. If the deficiency in social skills such as requesting and tracking needs and wills remains stable, it can face the person with some problems in long-term such as failure cycles, rejecting by peers, failure at school and adjustment problems and lack of self-esteem during adultery.
