Survey of Characterization of Ultra -Site Links of Libraries Websites of Tehran Comprehensive Universities

The aim of the present research was the study of cross-site linkingʹs characteristics in the mother university site libraries in Tehran. This research was practical for its aim and had descriptive research methodology. The method used in the present paper was links analysis method, which is one of webometrics methods. Research sample equal with the society were mother universities in Tehran consisted of six universities. In data-analysis, besides descriptive statistics, for hypothesis analysis proportion test assisted with Spss18 software was used. Research results identified that 426 cross-site linking had taken place that 77 links were Links Library and 349 links were non-Links Library. According to the enquiry, pro-forma-302 links were scientific and 124 were nonscientific. 176 cross-linking were in Persian, 250 were non-Persian, and all were in English. Among the studied society, Amir Kabir Universityʹs library website had the most cross-links and Shahid Beheshti library website had the least cross-links. The linking ratio in the library of websites from minimum to maximum rates were as follows: Shahid Beheshti university (37 ultra links), science and industry (44 ultra links), industrial university of Sharif (47 ultra links), Tarbiat Modarres university (89), Tehran university (89) and Amir Kabir Industrial University (120 ultra links), furthermore, stand of research hypothesis results displayed an inequality and a meaning full difference between the proportion of scientific and non-scientific links, Library and non-library links of Persian and non-Persian, of paper some practical and research suggestions were provided.
