Abstract :
A technique for designing a reversible pneumatic actuator for given values of the angular velocity, drag torque, and supply pressure is proposed. The dimensions of the designed engine, the number of working chambers, the throttling, power, and mechanical characteristics, and the stationary-mode angular velocity fluctuation amplitude are determined. The design parameters are compared with available experimental data.
