Abstract :
This study aimed to determine the Iranian ESL learners’ intelligence and perceptual learning styles in English language learning. For this reason 60 Iranian M.A. learners majoring TEFL at Islamic Azad University, Najafabad Branch were randomly selected. Oxford Quick Placement Test was administered to ensure that the participants are at the same level of proficiency; also Perceptual Learning Style Preference Questionnaire which was developed by Joy Reid was used in this study to assess the students’ preferred learning styles based on their perceptions and social aspects of learning. Finally, Multiple Intelligences Inventory prepared by Christison was employed. After analyzing the data, the main results of this study showed that the mostly preferred learning style was kinesthetic learning style and the less preferred style was individual learning style. And Linguistic intelligence was the most used intelligence among the learners and musical instrument was the less used intelligence among the students participated in the study.
