Abstract
Currently, fibrous composite materials find extensive application, because they make it possible to reduce the weight substantially, as compared with metallic structures, and improve the stiffness and strength characteristics. The results of studying the dynamic and strength characteristics of honeycomb structures at A. A. Blagonravov Institute of Machine Science, RAN, and A. N. Tupolev ANTK are presented in order to substantiate their use in the structures of a supersonic passenger airplane of the first generation and a medium mainline airplane of the fourth generation.
