Abstract
A one-step nanocasting method to prepare a bimodal mesoporous carbon from a highly hydrophobic carbon precursor, i.e., petroleum pitch, has been successfully developed by adopting tetrahydrofuran and hydrofluoric acid as solvent and catalyst, respectively
