Personal computer aided SAR image analysis system and its application Original Research Article

The authors have developed a PC-based Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image processing software for image generation from raw data, and have also developed the interferometry processing software. In this paper, we introduce and estimate our softwarʹs performance and show several image examples. To estimate the performance of our software, we compared processing time between our software and some commercial software. The result is that our software takes same time as the commercial software does to reconstruct the image. This SAR software is available free of charge and has been provided on RESTEC Homepage. Currently, it is available for three kinds of machines: Power Macintosh, IBM-Compatible PC and UNIX (Sun Solaris 2.X).
