Equilibrium and steady state problems of the near critical convection for the bottom and side heating are discussed in the paper. Adiabatic gradient in near critical fluid for the Van der Waals (VDW) state equation is found. Results of numerical simulation of steady state thermal gravity-driven convection for perfect and VDW gas are compared.
