Stability of the symmetric multistep methods for the time-dependent Schrödinger equation Original Research Article

We study the stability of the explicit symmetric multistep scheme (ESM) as a numerical method of solving the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. We use the most general sets of the coefficients of ESM in order to find a set of coefficients that gives the widest range of stability.
