Abstract :
A geometrically based numerical technique is applied to the scalar oscillatory/nonoscillatory Schrödinger equation in order to obtain numerical solutions for the Cauchy problem. As compared to the WKB method, the present method does not rely on the Poincaré (formal) series, and apart from being accurate, the present method also does not pose any problems at the turning (transition) points of the Schrödinger equation.
