Abstract :
The code solves the one-dimensional Vlasov equation by an Eulerian Flux Balance algorithm (E. Fijalkow, A numerical solution to the Vlasov equation, Comput. Phys. Commun 116 (1999) 319–328). The self consistent electric field given by the solution of the Poisson equation is calculated by a method given by G Knorr et al. (G. Knorr, B. Joyce, A.J. Marcus, J. Comput. Phys. 38 (1980) 227–236). The output of the code is the distribution function in phase space and a listing of diagnostics as total mass conservation, total momentum and energy.
