A particle-based algorithm for the hydrodynamics of binary fluid mixtures Original Research Article

The aim of this paper is to describe the extension of a particle-based mesoscale modeling approach to binary fluid flow. In particular we show that a viscous drag between the two fluid components can lead to concentration modulations when an oscillatory force is applied to one components. This confirms predictions obtained using a lattice Boltzmann algorithm.
