  • Abstract
The OMEGA code calculates the dynamic coincidence solid angles in the CM system for a detector/target arrangement with large illuminated target area or volume and large solid angle for two-particle photodisintegration reactions. The calculation method, based on Monte Carlo simulations, includes the effects of the reaction kinematics, transformations from Lab to the CM systems and rescattering of the secondary particles in the target material. The input parameters are the geometrical characteristics of the detector/target arrangement and the parameters of the reaction. The output parameters are the dynamic coincidence solid angles for each detector pair in the CM system. These angles are essential for the determination of the reaction cross section in the CM system from experimental data obtained in experiments with large illuminated target area or volume.
