Abstract
A finite element algorithm using linear tetrahedral elements is presented. The Galerkin method is used, instead of the traditional Ritz variational procedure. The algorithm originated a FORTRAN code that was tested for the quantum mechanical isotropic three-dimensional harmonic oscillator.
