Abstract
A six-state pseudo-spin model has been proposed for the cyanoadamantane crystal. The properties of this model have been analyzed using Monte Carlo simulations. This approach has significantly improved ergodicity in computer simulations of this system. It has allowed an order–disorder phase transition and kinetics of this transformation that goes through metastable states to be observed.
