Abstract :
Numerically calculated cross sections for one phonon emission and absorption by a slow neutron in superfluid liquid helium are presented. Ultracold neutron production cross section is 22.0 μbarns after systematic corrections. Differential and total cross sections for one phonon emission and absorption by slow neutrons with no restriction in final energies are also shown.
